Fashion Assembly Launches 16,000 Sqft Space For Minority Beauty And Fashion Brands

Fashion Assembly recently closed a deal to lease a 16,000-square-foot building in the heart of the Los Angeles Arts District with the help of Corina Irvin, Principal and Broker at Peninsula Commercial Real Estate Group. Fashion Assembly is a premier co-working and co-warehousing facility that provides beauty and fashion brands owned by people of color with a unique combination of flexible office space, community involvement, and logistics support (BIPOC), will be relocated to 2028 Bay Street, Unit B in Los Angeles.

The Founders of Fashion Assembly, Brian Pearson, a Franchise Development Broker, and Anje Collins, a former celebrity entertainment publicist, collaborated to launch Coco Blue Shoes, a successful shoe brand in Los Angeles, during the pandemic. Having experienced the challenges that stem from running an e-commerce business from home, they understand the difficulties of growing an e-commerce business first-hand.

"Our goal is to help our members grow their businesses and reach their ideal customers all over the world by providing them with the operational resources and knowledge they need," says Fashion Assembly Co-Founder and CEO Brian Pearson.

According to Anje Collins, Co-Founder and Creative Director, "there are many challenges when launching a brand created by a person of color." "We started in our living room, storage unit, and two industrial locations and outgrew them all, so I understand how difficult and expensive it can be to run an e-commerce business."

All memberships are month-to-month and include amenities such as high-speed internet, reception services, community events, shared common spaces for members to socialize and network, and growth support.

Members of the Fashion Assembly have access to direct-to-consumer business necessities such as grade-level doors, enterprise-level equipment, shipping, and receiving. There are also co-working spaces, conference rooms, showrooms, and a photography studio available for use as needed.

"This is the third move for my client's Fashion Assembly Co-Founders Anje Collins and Brian Pearson, with whom Corina also assisted find space for their popular shoe brand, Coco Blue Shoes." Furthermore, "It's been amazing to watch my clients grow, and I was thrilled to help them obtain their new space to help other brands grow," Cornia says.

Corina enjoys assisting entrepreneurs, many of whom are working mothers like herself, in making real estate transactions simple, enjoyable, and profitable.

Finding an appropriate location for my clients is only part of the challenge. According to Corina, it is about finding the ideal home for your business; a location that satisfies all of your criteria, is consistent with your brand, is creative and exciting, and will support your future growth.
