Looking for a retail wonderland this holiday season? Target is transforming December for shoppers in Atlanta, Dallas, and New York City with its high-energy Target Wonderland pop-up experiences. Designed to blend immersive shopping, local engagement, and the hottest DTC (direct-to-consumer) brands, these limited-run events are redefining the holiday playbook and giving guests a firsthand taste of the future of retail.

DTC Brands Headline Target’s Holiday Spectacle

Target Wonderland launched as a holiday pop-up concept several years ago, but in 2025, it’s pulling out all the stops with a multi-city tour anchored by DTC innovation. From beauty and wellness to home and tech, attendees get to sample, shop, and play inside a curated showcase of trending brands and exclusive product drops.

“Through every choice we make, from our creative, to our in store and online experiences, our goal this holiday season is simple: to be every guest’s go-to holiday partner, meeting them where they are,” said Cara Sylvester, chief guest experience officer, Target.

The Locations: Atlanta, Dallas, NYC

Target is focusing its 2025 Wonderland experiences on three key cities—each selected for its vibrant consumer base and appetite for experiential retail. Atlanta’s Ponce City Market, Dallas’ West Village, and Manhattan’s Chelsea are hosting the pop-ups through late November and early December 2025.

“The holidays are a time when anything is possible, especially with Target by your side to bring magic to every grocery trip or gift-seeking mission,” said Cara Sylvester, EVP and Chief Guest Experience Officer at Target in a blog post.

DTC Meets Discovery: Shopper-Centric Storytelling

At the core of this holiday pop-up is Target’s push to bring the best of DTC to more guests. The DTC showcase is more than retail theater; it embodies Target’s larger bet that multi-channel shoppers now expect physical touchpoints with their favorite online brands. Many DTC names participating in Wonderland described their excitement at partnering with Target for the holidays.

Interactive Features and Social-Ready Moments

Walking through Wonderlands in each city, shoppers find more than just products. There are hands-on demo areas, surprise Santa visits, and stations where guests create TikTok videos or design personalized gifting guides.

Cadence, a New York City-based modular travel container brand, set up a Build Your Own Capsule workshop for guests, while Brightland is offering olive oil tastings and gift-wrapping tutorials. Wellness brands helm zones for stretching, meditation, and rapid skincare routines.

Connecting Local Communities and National Brands

Target’s programming goes beyond standard holiday fare, tailoring each city’s activation to local culture. Atlanta’s Wonderland leans into local artists and Southern flavors, Dallas highlights Texan DTC brands in a Festive Market zone, and New York City features influencer events and surprise musical guests throughout December 2025.

For shoppers, the experience offers moments to meet founders, score limited-edition collaborations, and participate in charitable gift drives. All purchases—whether tested onsite or pre-ordered—are seamlessly integrated into Target’s app and fulfillment ecosystem, with same-day pickup or fast delivery.

Why Experiential Pop-Ups Work—Especially For DTC

Today’s shoppers crave more than just speed and selection.”The holidays can be a stressful time, but through immersive experiences, incredible early deals on the season’s coolest gifts and our Holiday Price Match Guarantee, we’re bringing joy to every step of the season, making holiday shopping fun, easy and full of festive moments for families. And, we’re taking that joy beyond our shelves – through local community giving, we’re spreading the holiday joy to even more families this season,” said Cara Sylvester, chief guest experience officer, Target.

It’s a strategy that resonates in 2025, as consumers demand curation, entertainment, and shareable moments. For DTC brands, pop-up partnerships like Wonderland provide rare visibility and a new path to scale—especially during the high-traffic holiday season.
