FIGS, the leading global healthcare apparel brand, has signed a landmark partnership with alpine skiing legend Lindsey Vonn for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, using her high profile return to racing to celebrate the medical professionals behind her comeback. The campaign forms part of FIGS’ ongoing role outfitting Team USA’s Medical Team, and reframes the Olympic story from just podiums to the people who “build bodies to break records.”
A comeback story told through medicine
After retiring in 2019, Lindsey Vonn did not expect to race again until a Mako partial knee replacement and a dedicated care team opened the door to a return to elite competition. Her journey back to Cortina includes intense physical and mental conditioning, multiple knee surgeries, and electromagnetic therapy, all focused on building her body back stronger than ever.
In the campaign’s anthemic film, FIGS shifts the lens from solo heroics to the collaborative grind behind them, spotlighting orthopedic surgeon Tom Hackett, MD, massage therapist Shawna Niles, NP, and Lorenzo Gonzalez, DPT, ATC, LAc, as the core healthcare team supporting Vonn’s bid to become the oldest downhill skier in history to compete at the Olympics. That framing positions medical experts as performance architects, not just support staff.
Lindsey Vonn said, “my medical team was there every step of the way, from when I started to casually ski again, and then deciding to come back to ski racing”, and stressed that every record and podium rests on years of unseen effort by healthcare professionals.
FIGS x Team USA: scrubs built for “game day”
Alongside the film, FIGS is rolling out a limited edition FIGS x Team USA collection, featuring specialty scrubwear, outerwear, knitwear, and accessories designed for long hours, high pressure, and uncompromising standards. Every member of Team USA’s Medical Team will receive the collection, and it will also be available to purchase on wearfigs.com, extending the Olympic moment to healthcare workers everywhere.
By treating medical uniforms with the same storytelling and design rigor usually reserved for athlete kits, FIGS elevates caregivers as central characters in the Games narrative. The collection doubles as both performance gear and a badge of honor for the clinicians who keep athletes on the mountain, on the ice and on the podium.
Trina Spear, CEO and Co-Founder of FIGS, said, “We are honored to partner with Lindsey and her medical team to share this story that celebrates the power of hard work, passion and medicine,” calling the clinicians “Awesome Humans” who help make history and break records.
Media roll out from NBCUniversal to OOH
To maximize visibility ahead of Milano Cortina 2026, the FIGS x Lindsey Vonn campaign will air across domestic channels and prime placements on NBCUniversal platforms leading up to and throughout the Winter Games. The push also includes out of home installations in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, turning Olympic anticipation into a stage for healthcare appreciation.
Throughout the Olympics, FIGS plans to drip bespoke and behind the scenes content across its social channels, reinforcing both Vonn’s comeback arc and the day to day reality of medical teams working behind closed doors. That always on strategy keeps the focus on healthcare professionals well beyond the race itself.
Extending a multi year USOPC partnership
This storytelling moment builds on FIGS’ multi year partnership with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), which began at the Paris 2024 Games and now runs through LA 2028. Across these cycles, FIGS is the first brand to outfit Team USA’s medical staff at an Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, using each edition to thank the clinicians who “build bodies to break records.”
As a founder led, direct to consumer healthcare apparel and lifestyle brand, FIGS focuses on technically advanced apparel that blends comfort, durability, function and style, while building a community narrative around healthcare workers in the U.S. and internationally. It’s work with Team USA and Lindsey Vonn pushes that mission onto the world’s biggest sports stage, turning scrubs into symbols of performance and pride.
