iBeauty Brands, a pioneer in hair tools, styling products, and skincare devices, has officially announced its acquisition of VOLOOM, the creator of the world's first patented hair volumizing iron. iBeauty Brands owner Liam Ben-David, and VOLOOM owner Patricia Lund, reached an agreement for the acquisition, officially transferring over the brand on April 10, 2024.

iBeauty's decision to acquire VOLOOM is rooted in their long-standing partnership, having served as a manufacturing partner for VOLOOM for over 5+ years. VOLOOM's utility patent technology is used worldwide—including in key markets such as the U.S., Mexico, Australia, Brazil, and several European and Asian countries—and has set it apart in the competitive landscape of beauty tools.

The patented design features unique interlocking checkerboard ceramic plates that ingeniously create volume pockets beneath the hair's surface. This innovative approach lifts the upper layers of hair, achieving unparalleled volume without the damage or hassle of traditional teasing methods.

Patricia Lund, founder of VOLOOM says, “As the inventor of the VOLOOM Hair Volumizing Iron, and a brand new category of hair tools, it was important for me to find the right home for the brand. I'm so proud to now turn VOLOOM over to iBeauty Brands, which will accelerate its growth, take it into new markets, and fulfill its potential worldwide. Now more women everywhere will be able to enjoy the confidence of great hair days with VOLOOM!”

Julius Michael, the brand's celebrity hairstylist and brand ambassador, will be a key figure in VOLOOM's journey under the new ownership. With his extensive celebrity clientele and influence in the beauty industry, Michael is poised to inspire new hair trends and generate buzz around voluminous styles. His creative vision and expertise are expected to play a crucial role in elevating brand awareness and driving sales, reinforcing iBeauty Brands' position as a leader in the beauty sector.

According to Liam Ben-David, owner of iBeauty Brands, “This acquisition is a step forward in iBeauty Brands offering the highest quality, advanced technology and unique products to market. The VOLOOM Hair Volumizing Iron offers the hair industry a one-of-a-kind styling tool that is the first of its kind. We look forward to a smooth transition and the excitement we have in re-launching VOLOOM under the iBeauty Brands umbrella.”

Looking ahead, iBeauty Brands has ambitious plans for VOLOOM, aiming to establish the brand as the premier destination for those seeking voluminous hairstyles. Central to these efforts will be leveraging VOLOOM's unique selling proposition to penetrate further into the professional hair market and expand its global footprint. The acquisition of VOLOOM is a strategic addition to iBeauty Brands' impressive portfolio, which already includes notable brands like SULTRA® (acquired in 2022) and Adagio® California (acquired in 2021).
