Mango’s €4 Billion Supply Chain Overhaul Goes Live

Spanish fashion giant Mango has announced a landmark partnership with TextileGenesis, a leading traceability platform, to digitize and authenticate its global supply chain. This move marks Mango’s response to new sustainability regulations and evolving consumer expectations, setting a new standard for transparency in fashion.

Reinventing Fashion Traceability

Mango’s newly formalized alliance with TextileGenesis solidifies its commitment to supply chain transparency, circular fashion, and advanced sustainability practices. The digital-first partnership enables Mango to ensure complete traceability of its natural, synthetic, and cellulosic fibres, as well as leather, spanning from raw material sources to finished products.

The Barcelona-based company has already achieved impressive milestones since piloting TextileGenesis’ technologies in 2023. Mango has mapped more than 6,000 tonnes of sustainable fibres and 40 million finished products, working with over 1,000 supply chain partners across 23 countries.

How TextileGenesis Works

TextileGenesis offers a comprehensive SaaS platform that digitizes the entire value chain—from the origin of raw fibers to the moment products reach consumers. Leveraging blockchain and a unique “fiber forwards” approach, the solution uses secure digital tokens to verify each stage, enabling Mango to track supply chain data to meet sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.

Meeting New Regulations and Consumer Demands

As sustainability requirements strengthen worldwide, Mango says this partnership addresses both new regulations and changing global expectations. TextileGenesis’s advanced modules, such as Fiber-to-Retail and Supply Chain Discovery, give Mango and its partners visibility of its value chain from the origin of the fibres to the end consumer.

Amid the announcement, Amit Gautam, CEO of TextileGenesis, highlighted the impact: “Achieving such transparency presents a significant challenge for brands such as Mango, given the complexity of their global supply chains. Ensuring accurate traceability requires an advanced solution capable of providing detailed insights and verifiable data throughout every stage of production. We are happy to help Mango achieve their sustainability goals by embracing traceability and creating a transparent value chain.”

Mango is fully committed to transparency throughout its supply chain and intends to deepen this further through its collaboration with TextileGenesis. This partnership strengthens Mango’s efforts to develop a transparent value chain and helps position the company as a leader in meeting upcoming regulatory requirements as well as evolving consumer expectations around sustainability and traceability.

What’s Next

This partnership sets up Mango for strategic growth, with plans to “implement advanced TextileGenesis modules” and deepen traceability efforts as the company targets €4 billion in sales by 2026. With the fashion industry under pressure to authenticate sustainability claims, Mango’s proactive move may serve as a blueprint for peers.

The company is now expanding its traceability efforts to cover not only certified fibres, but also materials used in conventional products, such as textiles in leather goods and footwear.
