Macy's has announced the appointment of Olivier Bron as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bloomingdale's. The transition is set to take place in early November 2023. Bron will report directly to Tony Spring, who was appointed President and CEO-Elect of Macy's, Inc. in March 2023 after a commendable 36-year career at Bloomingdale's.

Bloomingdale's, under the umbrella of Macy's, Inc., continues to be a cornerstone of the company's luxury growth vector and remains a premier customer destination for curated fashion and style. As the new CEO, Bron will lead the overall strategy across all facets of the business. His role will also enhance Bloomingdale's unique curated offering of designers, advanced contemporary, and exclusive private brands.

Bron brings with him more than 20 years of retail leadership experience. He most recently served as the CEO of Central Group’s Central and Robinson Department Stores in Thailand, where he devised and executed strategies for sustainable growth. Prior to this, he held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Director of Strategy for French retail group Galeries Lafayette in Paris, playing a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and strategic planning. Bron also spent over a decade focused on retail transformation at Bain & Company.

Bron will be relocating with his family to New York as he assumes his new role. In anticipation of his international move and visa, he will begin working at Bloomingdale's in early November. This marks a new chapter in the history of Bloomingdale's, promising a bright future under Bron's leadership.
