Pacsun and the Rare Impact Fund, founded by Selena Gomez, are back with the fifth installment of their ongoing denim collaboration. The latest Rare DNM Edit dropped on April 3, exclusively in Pacsun stores and online, blending relaxed, statement driven denim with a continued commitment to expanding youth mental health access worldwide.

The partnership is now in its second year and has grown from a single collection into a sustained, multi drop collaboration that uses fashion as both a product and a platform.

A Collection Built Around Confidence and Self Expression

The latest assortment spans 15 pieces for both men and women, priced between $68 and $125. Silhouettes lean into the relaxed, expressive direction that has defined the Rare DNM Edit series, with extreme baggy jeans, jorts, micro shorts, and a studded denim jacket anchoring the lineup. Elevated details, including jacquard textures, studding, and vintage distressing, give each piece a more considered finish without losing the everyday approachability the collaboration has become known for.

That design language is intentional. For a generation where 42% of youth name mental health as their top life priority, above physical health and academic success, according to Pacsun’s own Youth Report, clothing that signals confidence and individuality carries a meaning that goes beyond aesthetics.

Fashion as a Fundraising Vehicle

As with every drop in the series, commerce is directly tied to cause. Pacsun will donate 10% of sales from the Rare DNM Edit to the Rare Impact Fund, up to a maximum donation of $300,000.

That contribution feeds into a larger mission. The Rare Impact Fund has raised over $20 million to date, supports 30 nonprofit partners across five continents, and reaches more than 2 million young people annually. Its broader goal is to mobilize $100 million for organizations expanding access to youth mental health services and education globally.

Why This Partnership Keeps Working

Elyse Cohen, President of the Rare Impact Fund and Chief Impact Officer at Rare Beauty, said, “Mental health is something young people are thinking about every day — it shapes the way they see themselves, show up, and connect with others. Through our partnership with Pacsun, we’re able to meet youth in a space that feels natural to them. This collection is about more than what you wear — it’s about building confidence, encouraging self expression, and continuing to expand access to mental health resources for those who need it most.”

That framing gives the collaboration something most fashion partnerships lack: a genuine reason to exist beyond the product itself. Pacsun is not simply attaching a cause to a denim drop. It is using its retail footprint and youth audience to create a recurring channel for mental health fundraising and awareness at a moment when the data clearly shows those conversations matter deeply to the generation it serves.

Purpose Driven Fashion With Consistent Momentum

The Rare DNM Edit has now run through five collections, which makes it one of the more sustained purpose led collaborations in specialty retail. Each drop is designed to feel fresh in terms of product while reinforcing the same core values, giving the partnership cultural continuity that a one off capsule could never achieve.

For the broader fashion retail industry, the model is worth watching. A 10% donation with a capped maximum keeps the structure transparent and commercially viable, while the Rare Impact Fund’s credibility, built on Selena Gomez’s personal mission and real fundraising results, gives the partnership authenticity that is hard to manufacture.
