TimShop Brings Beloved Canadiana to Life
Tim Horton’s spokesperson said that the TimShop in Toronto’s Eaton Centre will be a holiday pop-up store, remaining open through December. “It is the first retail store of its kind for us and is an extension of our TimShop.ca online store. The retail store will have much of the same merchandise available at TimShop.ca (at the same prices as seen online), along with some exclusive items – you’ll find everything from apparel to drinkware to holiday merchandise.”
Shoppers will be able to browse, try on, and buy favourites from the Workwear, Tims Canada, Retro, and Varsity collections—lines that, as the company notes, bring the ‘Always Fresh feeling’ beyond its restaurants. For the first time, fans can see and touch merchandise in person, not just through an online portal.
Holiday Pop-Up Experience in a Canadian Landmark
The new 1,856-square-foot TimShop will occupy a prime spot in the former Bentley location, adjacent to a Bell Store on Eaton Centre’s first floor, off Yonge Street in downtown Toronto. The space is designed to maximize foot traffic during the peak holiday shopping season, running until around the end of December. For many Toronto residents and tourists, visiting this holiday pop-up is a chance to snap up exclusive and limited-edition Tims swag.
Exclusive, Nostalgic, and Pet-Friendly Collections
When TimShop.ca launched in September 2023, the online collection featured a curated mix of modern and retro branded t-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, and crewnecks. Enthusiasm from collectors and casual fans alike led to rapid sellouts of National Coffee Day items and collaborations like TimBiebs. A special 60th anniversary collection, released in March 2024, introduced even more nostalgia with vintage lunchboxes, mugs, decorative pillows, and accessories—a celebration of Tim Hortons’ unique place in Canadian pop culture.
Later in 2024, Tim Hortons added a much-buzzed-about line of dog and cat toys—including a plush Timbits box and Tims coffee cup. Many of these items, which initially sold out online, will be restocked in the new pop-up store. The latest arrivals—just in time for Halloween—include a costume for kids, a costume for dogs, and the trending Tims Barbie Hoodie. According to the brand, there will be a range of items at different price points for holiday gifts.
Why This Matters: The Rise of Brand Merch
The opening of TimShop comes as brands worldwide experiment with lifestyle retail and loyalty extensions. Tim Hortons’ partnership with Canadian Tire, announced just weeks before the store launch, allows customers to link their Triangle and Tims Rewards accounts—another example of deepening consumer connections through exclusive perks. Merchandise programs have cemented the Tim’s brand as both a cultural icon and a relevant retail contender.
Dustin Fuhs, editor-in-chief of 6ix Retail, notes that “Tim Hortons’ brand loyalty runs deep among Canadian consumers, with the chain becoming synonymous with Canadian identity. This emotional connection creates a foundation for merchandise sales that extends beyond typical coffee shop offerings.”
The TimShop Retail Model: What to Expect
- Same prices in-store as online
- Restocks of online sellouts and exclusives are only available at the Eaton Centre location
- Ability to try on items, access personal guidance, and immediately purchase limited-run collectibles
- Special merch drops around National Coffee Day, Halloween, and gift-giving moments
Shoppers can expect everything from apparel, accessories, drinkware, and holiday merchandise alongside recently introduced essentials and playful products like vintage keychains and pen sets.
Looking Forward to Will TimShop Become a Canadian Retail Tradition?
If the Eaton Centre holiday pop-up proves a success, industry analysts say Tim Hortons could expand the concept to other Canadian shopping destinations. The company’s trial run at the country’s busiest urban mall positions the TimShop to capture the crucial fourth-quarter gift crowd and test the waters for future stand-alone merchandise shops.
Looking Forward
The TimShop at Toronto Eaton Centre, launching in early November 2025, is not just a merchandise outlet but a celebration of Tim Hortons’ legacy—from vintage swag to the latest on-trend collaborations. For Canadian shoppers and Tims loyalists, this is the most immersive way yet to bring the Always Fresh spirit home for the holidays.
