Winn-Dixie has announced a major expansion of its popular in-store Amazon return kiosks, rolling out the service to 68 additional locations across 23 Florida counties. This move builds on the success of the pilot program, originally launched at 20 stores in North Florida, and marks a new chapter in Winn-Dixie’s strategy to deliver more convenience and value while deepening its collaboration with Amazon.
A Hassle-Free Customer Experience
Customers in counties such as Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Duval, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach now have direct access to the kiosks, which allow them to return eligible Amazon purchases during grocery trips—l, no shipping box, tape, or label required. Bags and labels are provided at each station, making the process seamless and eliminating the need for extra errands.
Leadership Voices On Customer Demand
Adam Kirk, Chief Customer and Digital Officer for Southeastern Grocers, Winn-Dixie’s parent company—said, “We’ve seen incredible enthusiasm from customers using Amazon return kiosks in our North Florida stores, and that response has inspired us to bring this convenient service to even more communities across our home state…creating more convenience, more value and more reasons to choose Winn-Dixie as their trusted neighborhood store.”
Gopal Pillai, VP of Worldwide Returns and Recommerce at Amazon, added, “Our collaboration with Winn-Dixie brings hassle-free, shipping box-free returns directly to where customers already shop…The enthusiastic response from our pilot program demonstrated customers value this convenience, and we’re excited to expand to more Florida communities.”
Simple Returns With Extra Rewards
When initiating a return via Amazon, customers can select Winn-Dixie as their drop-off spot. Stores participating in the service automatically appear as options in the return process. After completing a return, users receive a $10 off $50 Winn-Dixie coupon in their rewards app—activated instantly by scanning a QR code at the kiosk. This bonus further incentivizes shoppers to complete returns while tackling grocery lists, enhancing customer loyalty.
Expanding Online Grocery Options
The collaboration is not limited to returns. Customers in Jacksonville and Orlando, as well as surrounding communities, can shop from Winn-Dixie on Amazon, accessing over 16,000 items with convenient two-hour delivery. For a limited window, Prime and non-Prime customers each get free delivery on orders over $25. Enhanced savings are possible by linking Winn-Dixie Rewards and Amazon accounts, offering up to 20% off and enabling reward redemption at Winn-Dixie stores.
Strategic Investment In Florida Communities
This expansion arrives as Winn-Dixie enters a new era as The Winn-Dixie Company, focused on modernizing the customer experience and strengthening its Florida presence. The initiative reflects a broader push for convenience-driven shopping and innovative retailer-customer collaborations, aiming to simplify the lives of busy Floridians.
