Announced September 15, Etsy’s update equips its 7+ million sellers with an AI-powered Writing Assistant and Title Suggestions tool, designed to address one of the biggest challenges in online retail: creating clear, compelling listings at scale. Powered by advanced language models, these tools help sellers quickly craft item titles and product descriptions that accurately convey their value, improve findability in search, and engage buyers more effectively.
Etsy President and Chief Growth Officer Kruti Patel Goyal commented, “These upgrades make it easier for [sellers] to clearly communicate with buyers and spend more time on the parts of their business they love”. AI-generated titles and suggested phrases remove the marketing guesswork, freeing up artisans, crafters, and small business owners to focus on creating and connecting rather than constant content rewriting.
Smart Shop Management and Marketplace Insights
Beyond writing tools, Etsy now offers a Top Tasks feature in its Shop Manager dashboard, prioritizing urgent seller actions and helping users stay organized even as order volumes spike during the holiday rush. New Marketplace Insights—a playbook of buyer trends and engagement opportunities—helps sellers spot rising demand for specific styles, categories, or search keywords, making it easier to react quickly and stock the right products.
Doubling down on transparency, Etsy has launched a new dashboard that highlights any policy violations, reducing the risk of accidental mistakes or costly account suspensions. Sellers also benefit from a doubling of purchase protection coverage during the holiday season, an added layer of support as the marketplace braces for millions of new transactions.

Etsy’s modernized Community Hub, rolling out later this year, will feature AI-powered search and fresh educational resources that connect sellers with best practices, peer support, and company updates.
