Knot, a bold new entrant in India’s fast-evolving commerce landscape, has raised $3 million in pre-Series A funding led by Kae Capital in July 2025—backed by Sparrow Capital, Boundless Ventures LLP, and several prominent founders from brands like Snitch, The Souled Store, and Bonkers Corner.
A 60-Minute, Doorstep Fashion Revolution
Founded in 2025 by Archit Nanda and Rachit Bansal (both IIT Bombay alumni), Knot promises to do for apparel what Zomato and Blinkit have done for food and groceries.
Knot’s platform offers 60-minute delivery on thousands of SKUs, fueled by a marketplace of over 70 leading brands—including Snitch, Bonkers Corner, The Souled Store, The Bear House, and Off Duty.
The company’s signature Try ‘n Buy model allows customers to try their order at the doorstep before committing—offering convenience and flexibility previously unheard of in online fashion. Any items that don’t fit or please can be returned instantly, solving a major pain point for hesitant online shoppers and reducing dreaded returns.
From Pivot to Powerhouse: The Quick-Commerce Backstory
Knot’s founders previously built the social app Slick, which drew over two million users but struggled to monetize. When they noticed Gen Z’s preference for instant, personalized, and engaging shopping, they pivoted—retaining key investors like WEH Ventures and All In Capital for the ride.
“Quick commerce changed food, groceries, and essentials. We believe fashion is the next frontier,” Nanda reflected in the funding announcement.
Investor Interest and Early Traction
Online fashion shopping hasn’t kept up with the changing consumers’ needs. Gen Z consumers are becoming a big driver for online sales, and they prefer speed, curation, and trust. Fashion commerce needs to be reimagined for this consume,r and this is what Knot is solving. We are thrilled to partner with the team as they build what can become the definitive fashion marketplace for India’s next generation of shoppers.
Since launch, Knot has processed thousands of monthly orders and plans to expand beyond Mumbai to Delhi, Bengaluru, and Pune. The young population’s appetite for rapid shopping and doorstep convenience is clearly fueling early demand.
Product Innovation and Brand Partnerships
The capital will allow Knot to:
- Broaden its brand roster beyond 70+ D2C and established partners
- Scale infrastructure for 60-minute deliveries in new cities
- Advance AI-powered virtual try-ons—giving users a realistic digital view before ordering, reducing decision fatigue and return rates as per Knot’s press release
Knot’s innovative approach—paying brands only after a sale is made, without upfront commitments—enables ultra-fast onboarding and a vast, dynamic catalog attractive to both indie and established brands.
The Try ‘n Buy Model: A Shopper’s Dream
With their Try ‘n Buy experience, shoppers can touch, feel, and try on what they ordered at the doorstep. If something doesn’t work, they just hand it back—no wait, no hassle. The result: a seamless, risk-free shopping experience that’s winning over fashion-conscious millennials and Gen Z.
The Market: Fast Fashion, Faster Delivery
The rise of quick fashion is a global wave. In India, startups like Knot are riding a new wave of verticalized Q-commerce, targeting consumers who crave curated, hyper-local fashion with lightning-fast fulfillment. Inspired by the likes of Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto in other verticals, Knot is among the first to truly crack the code for apparel and accessories.
Looking Ahead: Rapid Scale and Customer Delight
With the newly secured $3 million in pre-Series A funding, Knot aims to deepen its tech stack, double down on product and logistics, and become India’s go-to platform for instant, curated fashion. The company’s approach is already influencing a growing ecosystem of copycats and VC-backed rivals—proof that the race to combine speed, flexibility, and discovery is just getting started.
Fashion is no longer about waiting for deliveries or worrying over returns—it’s fast, fun, and fits on your schedule. That’s the world we’re building with Knot.
