Samsara Luggage, a smart luggage and travel lifestyle brand, secured a strategic capital investment in June 2021 to fuel the growth of its innovative product line. This investment was aimed at supporting the launch of Samsara's Next Gen Smart Carry-on and further expanding the company's offerings.
The company has experienced significant growth since then, with revenues increasing by 239% year-over-year and gross profit for 2022 up by 571%. This growth can be attributed to the surge in demand for travel products and strategic partnerships that increased sales and brand visibility. Samsara Luggage focused on launching its new Tag Smart product line in Spring 2022, which combined a carry-on suitcase with Apple AirTag, providing travelers with reliable tracking using the iPhone's Find My app.
Samsara Luggage's products have received widespread recognition, securing "Best of" placements in notable publications such as Forbes, Travel + Leisure, and Buy Side from WSJ. The Tag Smart suitcase was awarded a Special Mention on TIME's Best Inventions 2022 list. In addition to the Tag Smart collection, Samsara Luggage launched its STREET SMART accessory collection in February 2023, offering stylish travel essentials for customers.
The company has also entered into several strategic partnerships to increase its business activity. Tommy Bahama became the first retailer to feature select products from Samsara Luggage's Tag Smart collection in its brick-and-mortar stores in Fall 2022. Furthermore, Samsara Luggage launched the Un-carrier On suitcase, a co-branded magenta suitcase equipped with Apple AirTag tracking device, USB-C, and wireless charging capabilities.
