Archive, a technology provider specializing in white-label resale marketplace infrastructure for leading brands, secured $30 million in Series B funding, reinforcing its position at the heart of the global circular economy surge. The round was led by Energize Capital and included returning support from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Bain Capital Ventures, G9 Ventures, and Capital F, as well as new investors Woodline Partners LP and Frontline Growth. With this latest raise, Archive’s total funding reaches $54 million.

Powering Brand-Owned Resale: Archive’s Mission

Founded in 2021 by Emily Gittins and Ryan Rowe in San Francisco, Archive enables more than 50 brands across 10 countries to launch, scale, and profitably manage their own resale channels. Archive’s proprietary resale intelligence platform powers initiatives for high-profile partners, including New Balance, The North Face, Fjällräven, Dr. Martens, DVF, Oscar de la Renta, and more.

“Resale has proven wildly popular with consumers and a significant and profitable growth opportunity for brands, allowing them to drive sales, customer loyalty and sustainability at the same time,” said Emily Gittins, Co-founder and CEO of Archive. “We’re extremely pleased to partner with this prestigious group of investors as we help brands launch and scale resale channels that strengthen their business. This new investment will allow us to continue to lead through innovation and to add top engineering talent and resale industry experts to our team to support our growing global footprint.”

Funding Focus: Growth, Tech, and Sustainability

The new $30 million investment will support:

  • Advances in resale intelligence software for more robust data analytics, pricing, authentication, and logistics
  • Global expansion into new consumer and product categories, spanning apparel, accessories, furniture, electronics, home goods, outdoor gear, toys, and footwear
  • Scaling the Archive engineering and specialist team to support rapid brand onboarding and program launches

Archive’s mission is to drive profitable resale for brands across a growing array of retail categories, supporting global circularity, customer acquisition, and enduring revenue streams.

Technology Built for Circularity

Archive’s platform provides everything brands need to run branded secondhand shops—covering peer-to-peer marketplaces, take-back programs, inventory management, product identification and restoration, and white-label integration into e-commerce sites.

The software lets partners:

  • Sell secondhand at higher margins than many traditional retail sales
  • Source supply through trade-ins, returns, customer listings, and unsold or archived inventory
  • Instantly price, authenticate, and relist new items on branded platforms
  • Retrieve first-party data, deepen customer insight, and build retention with sustainability-minded consumers.

Industry Momentum and Board Support

As part of the Series B close, Eileen Waris, Principal at Energize Capital, joined the Archive board of directors.
Archive’s software capitalizes on this shift and enables brands to own a bigger slice of the resale pie, all while supporting profitability and sustainability goals. They are thrilled to partner with the Archive team and support them through this next phase of growth.

Analysts see Archive’s model as pivotal for an industry in flux. Brands need to control their own resale channels to protect pricing power, brand image, and deepen customer connections. Archive’s white-label approach has become a template for the next decade of retail.

Results and Recognition

Brands working with Archive have been able to:

  • Reclaim millions in previously untapped resale value
  • Keep authentic products out of landfill, reinforcing sustainability
  • Accelerate DTC growth while attracting new demographics through high-quality secondhand commerce.

Archive is regarded as a Most Innovative Company of 2024, having worked with brands from The North Face to Oscar de la Renta to deliver sophisticated, revenue-building resale platforms.

Looking Forward

With $30 million in fresh capital, Archive plans to further build out its platform, accelerate international expansion, and lead the next chapter in sustainable retail—enabling every brand to launch profitable, scalable resale experiences in the age of circular commerce.
