Banuba Revolutionizes Skincare Try-on

Banuba, a leading augmented reality (AR) technology company, has significantly enhanced its virtual makeover platform, TINT. The company, which has been at the forefront of AR technology for over seven years, is known for its pioneering work in face tracking, virtual try-on, and virtual background technologies.

The latest update to TINT involves a neural network upgrade that boosts the speed of the platform's skincare feature by up to 20%, depending on the device and use case. This improvement is part of Banuba's ongoing commitment to providing cutting-edge AR solutions that enhance user experiences and drive business growth.

TINT's skin care feature comprises three main elements. Firstly, it offers a virtual try-on for skin care products, predicting the effects of prolonged use based on thousands of examples that the neural networks were trained on. This unique feature provides real-time visualizations of potential results, a capability unmatched by any other product on the market.

Secondly, TINT incorporates a proprietary face analysis AI that examines over 200 parameters, including skin tone, face shape, and face feature size. It also identifies and highlights imperfections on the user's skin. This technology was developed in-house by Banuba's R&D lab and is protected by several of the company's 20 patents.

Lastly, TINT features a recommendations AI that uses data from the face analysis to select the most suitable items for each individual. It works with decorative cosmetics and skin care products and can highlight individual products and bundles, leading to increased sales.

In addition to skincare products, TINT allows users to virtually try on various items, including decorative makeup, glasses, sunglasses, coloured contacts, hats, jewelry, scarves, necklaces, watches, bracelets, rings, and earrings.

Depending on the client's needs, TINT is available as a web application, an in-store solution, or both. This ensures maximum flexibility and accessibility for end-users. The integration process typically takes between two days and two weeks, with Banuba's development team assisting in the process. With these latest enhancements, Banuba continues solidifying its position as a leader in the AR tech market, offering innovative solutions that revolutionize how users interact with digital products.
