Burberry Opens New Store and Pop-up in Texas and California

Burberry, the British luxury fashion house known for its iconic trench coats and distinctive check pattern, is set to expand its presence in the United States with two new retail experiences. Burberry will open its first store in Austin, Texas at The Domain, an upscale shopping center near Century Oaks Plaza.

This addition is part of The Domain’s ongoing multimillion-dollar renovation, expected to continue through 2025. Shoppers in Austin can anticipate the grand opening of the Burberry store in March 2024.

Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Burberry is introducing a pop-up at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California. This mall is not only the largest shopping center on the West Coast but also boasts the highest annual sales in the United States, pre-COVID, surpassing $1.5 billion.

The Burberry pop-up will showcase the brand’s Spring 2024 collection, featuring menswear, womenswear, and accessories designed by Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee.. This initiative is part of Burberry’s strategy to homogenize all of its stores in the same style, ensuring a consistent and high-quality shopping experience across its locations.

South Coast Plaza, where the Burberry pop-up will be located, is a renowned global shopping destination with over 250 extraordinary boutiques and critically acclaimed restaurants. It is conveniently situated near several major freeways, making it easily accessible to both local and visiting patrons.

As Burberry continues to grow its global footprint, operating in 34 countries and territories with colleagues representing 140 nationalities[^8], these new ventures in Austin and Costa Mesa represent the brand’s commitment to bringing its heritage and innovative fashion to diverse audiences. With 20 Burberry locations in the United Kingdom alone, the expansion in the U.S. underscores the company’s strategic focus on key markets.
