Anita Dongre, one of India’s most influential designers, continued her global expansion by officially opening her flagship Los Angeles store in Beverly Hills on November 1, 2025. The launch marks a new era for mindful luxury, as Dongre becomes the first Indian designer to open a flagship in the world-renowned Beverly Hills retail district.

A New Landmark for Indian Fashion

The new store is located at Gardenhouse Beverly Hills. With this debut, Anita Dongre now counts 13 stores globally, reinforcing her reputation for connecting Indian heritage with international luxury fashion markets.

“I’ve always wanted one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast, and we have been looking for a place for the last couple of years, and finally it happened now, shared Dongre.

Store Design—A Modern-Day Rajasthan

Step inside the Beverly Hills flagship, and you’re welcomed by a tranquil space that echoes the landscapes of Rajasthan: earthy color palettes, hand-embellished Pichhwai walls, handcrafted by artisans in Rajasthan over months, and serene, nature-inspired decor. The interior is a haven of craft, calm, and purpose, featuring custom furnishings, embroidered details, and an aroma inspired by Dongre’s homeland. The centerpiece is an elephant matriarch and calf installation from The Great Elephant Migration, crafted by indigenous Indian communities.

A Collection for Global and Local Tastes

The flagship offers an exquisite selection: silver jewelry, vegan accessories, couture bridalwear, and modern ready-to-wear designed for both global and local audiences.

“The store has some silver jewellery, vegan accessories and of course my creations that are global in appeal with an Indian soul, wedding wear and some menswear,” says Dongre. “It will cater to the western sensibilities as well as the Indian diaspora settled here.”

Her blend of contemporary silhouettes and centuries-old Indian handwork has already dressed international icons like Priyanka Chopra, Kate Middleton, Kim Kardashian, and Dakota Johnson—with bespoke pieces for both red carpets and special occasions

Grand Opening: Culture, Community, Celebrity

The Beverly Hills opening drew a star-studded guest list, including Mindy Kaling and Poorna Jagannathan as launch hosts, as well as actors and public figures from both Hollywood and the Indian diaspora.

Global Expansion, Deep Roots

With previous landmark stores in SoHo, New York, and two in Dubai, this Los Angeles location marks Dongre’s fourth international boutique, continuing her mission of championing Indian craftsmanship and women’s empowerment on the world stage.

The store’s decor, art, and brand story are designed to make you feel as though you’ve stepped into a modern haveli, reflecting Dongre’s lifelong commitment to sustainability, nature, and the preservation of India’s artisan heritage.

A New Chapter: Indian Heritage in LA’s Luxury Scene

As India’s luxury market sees a surge and diaspora demand increases, Dongre’s Beverly Hills presence is more than expansion, it’s a statement of pride and ambition for Indian design on the world’s most iconic shopping streets.
