J.Crew and iconic denim brand Lee have joined forces for the first time on a limited edition capsule that reimagines Lee’s most historic silhouettes through J.Crew’s East Coast prep lens. The Lee x J.Crew collection spans womenswear, menswear, and kids, offering a polished but relaxed take on American classics built to feel like future vintage.

What’s In The Lee x J.Crew Collection

The capsule leans into signature Lee pieces, most notably the Storm Rider jacket, Western shirts, straight leg jeans, skirts, and overalls, reworked with J.Crew’s proportions, color palette, and styling details. Standouts include a plaid lined Storm Rider trucker, garment dyed Western shirts, vintage feel straight jeans and mini pencil skirts, plus perfect rib tanks designed to slot into everyday wardrobes.

Each piece is cut from premium materials, including Japanese selvedge denim sourced from heritage mills like Kaihara and Kurabo, with custom hardware, embossed brass finishes, and vintage inspired labels referencing 1970s Lee graphics. The collection is priced from $45 to $268, positioning it as an accessible entry into premium denim and outerwear.

How Both Brands Frame The Collaboration

J.Crew Women’s & Kids Creative Director Olympia Gayot said, “Lee represents an essential part of American denim heritage. At J.Crew, my goal was to honor that legacy while refining it through our lens — polished but relaxed, thoughtful but unfussy. We focused on pieces that feel authentic and enduring, the kind of wardrobe staples you reach for instinctively and keep for years. It’s about respecting heritage while making it feel relevant now.”

Together, the brands are clear about the narrative: two American icons, two distinct perspectives, one story told in denim across generations. That story comes to life not only in product but also in the campaign, which mixes Western cues with J.Crew’s clean, East Coast styling across lifestyle imagery and social content.

Launch Timing, Channels And Retail Strategy

The Lee x J.Crew collection dropped on March 19, 2026, at jcrew.com, lee.com, and in select J.Crew stores. To introduce the capsule, the brands hosted an in person experience in Los Angeles with friends of the brand, underscoring their aim to make the collaboration feel like a cultural event rather than a quiet online drop.

”This will be the first collaboration available on Lee.com that encompasses men, women and kids’ apparel, and we couldn’t have a better partner than J. Crew,” said Joe Broyles, Vice President of Collaborations at Lee. “They are a master at product storytelling, and we’re thrilled with the outcome. This capsule amplifies Lee’s new global ‘Built Like Lee’ platform – highlighting how we’re showing up in new ways for today’s consumer.”

The capsule is a way to get a vintage denim look without the hunt, noting that some pieces began to sell through quickly and that select items are available on pre order as jacket season ramps up. That reception suggests strong demand for collabs that balance archival authenticity with modern fit and fabrication.
