LVMH is putting its people front and center. On April 7, the Paris based luxury conglomerate officially launched Career Compass to 211,000 talents across the Group, marking a new chapter in the company’s commitment to talent development from within.
What Is Career Compass
Career Compass is a shared framework built to empower every LVMH employee to take ownership of their own career journey and grow across the Group’s unique ecosystem of Maisons and métiers. It is organized around five pillars: Explore the Group, Know Yourself, Build Your Network, Grow in Your Job, and Go on Mobility. Together, these pillars give employees both the structure and the autonomy to navigate a vast portfolio of luxury brands, functions, and geographies, all from within a single Group. Rather than leaving career development to chance, LVMH is formalizing it as a shared responsibility between the individual and the organization, ensuring that growth pathways are visible, accessible, and actionable for every employee, regardless of their Maison or seniority level.
Empowering Talent From Within
The launch of Career Compass builds on LVMH‘s broader employer brand commitment, “Where Dreams Become Careers,” which positions the Group as a career playground spanning over 75 Maisons across more than 500 métiers. In 2024, 82% of LVMH employees received professional training, and 19,000 benefited from internal mobility opportunities. Career Compass formalizes this commitment, turning internal career development into a shared responsibility between employees and the Group. LVMH said: “When our talents grow, our Maisons grow stronger.”
What Comes Next
In the coming months, Career Compass will come to life through Career Compass Cafés and Discovery sessions held across regions, creating meaningful experiences, connections, and opportunities across Maisons. These in person moments are designed to foster cross Maison connections and open new pathways for LVMH employees at all levels and in all markets. The sessions will give talents a hands on way to explore the five pillars of the framework, connect with colleagues across different brands and functions, and discover mobility opportunities they may not have previously considered.
