Poshmark, a leading fashion resale marketplace, has recently introduced Posh Shows, a new approach to live shopping for its fashion resale community. Available in the U.S. and Canada, Posh Shows enables users to leverage the power of live video to sell items from their Poshmark closet and reach an established community of more than 100 million users.
Posh Shows offers a fun, fast-paced format where sellers can go live and sell items in auctions, setting the starting price and duration while quickly moving through inventory. Shoppers engage in a dynamic, entertaining shopping experience, discovering products, communicating in real-time, and scoring deals on a variety of styles. The platform's powerful merchandising and discovery tools help match sellers to the right customers and shoppers to the sellers, trends, and brands that fit their interests.
During a Posh Show, sellers can select a listing from their Featured Listings, set the starting price and auction duration, and even showcase other sellers' pieces to help them generate traffic and sales. This feature can become a major community-building tool, as it allows people to find and join shows featuring products and user closets they're interested in.
Poshmark began testing Posh Shows in the fourth quarter of 2022, and since then, sellers have hosted more than 100,000 shows, with shoppers placing over 4 million bids in live auctions for a wide selection of merchandise. The platform plans to leverage its popular physical events, such as Poshmark-sponsored live events for sellers and in-person local series like Posh and Coffee, to help with Posh Shows adoption.
The company is also currently testing the feature in Canada, with plans to roll out Posh Shows there this year before adding other international markets like Australia. Poshmark will be adding new features to Posh Shows in the coming months, focusing on creating new ways to Sell Together and inspiring new ways to shop and connect live.
Posh Shows is designed to make selling simple and social, with an easy-to-use interface and a unique suite of selling tools that allow anyone to get started and make sales while offering an experience that captures the fun and energy of shopping with friends. As Poshmark continues to grow its community of sellers each week, new hosts are invited to join Posh Shows on a first-come, first-serve basis.
