Rebag has announced a multifaceted partnership with thredUP, one of the largest online resale platforms, marking a significant step towards a more sustainable future for fashion. Rebag is known for its curated collection of high-end accessories, including handbags, fine jewelry, and watches.

"Industry collaboration is key to building a more sustainable future for fashion, and Rebag and thredUP have a shared vision around reuse's ability to reduce fashion's impact," said James Reinhart, CEO of thredUP. "Through our partnership, we're enabling more shoppers to participate in resale and ultimately encouraging people to make more sustainable shopping choices."

This collaboration introduces Rebag's Clean Out program, powered by thredUP's innovative Resale-as-a-Service® (RaaS®). This initiative is about expanding the reach of luxury items and making the resale process more accessible and rewarding for consumers. Now, Rebag customers can send their gently-worn items to thredUP and receive Rebag shopping credit in return. This seamless exchange is facilitated through rebag.thredup.com, where customers can obtain a prepaid shipping label, pack their pre-loved apparel, shoes, and accessories, and ship them off without any cost.

The partnership doesn't stop there. ThredUP's vast customer base now has the unique opportunity to purchase select Rebag inventory, including exquisite handbags from iconic brands like Chanel, Christian Dior, Gucci, Hermes, and Louis Vuitton, directly on thredup.com. The addition of watches and fine jewelry to this lineup is eagerly anticipated.

Rebag and thredUP are also committed to educating consumers about the benefits of circular shopping. They plan to engage their social media followers with collaborative content and a giveaway set to launch in December.

Charles Gorra, Founder and CEO of Rebag, expresses excitement about the partnership, "We are thrilled to partner with thredUP and further expand our resale offerings to new customers," says Charles Gorra. "Consumers will be able to shop an incredible assortment of luxury accessories in our expertly-vetted inventory through thredUP and earn Rebag credit for sending in pre-loved items through thredUP's Clean Out program."

This partnership aligns perfectly with Rebag's recent launch of its Consignment service, which offers sellers transparency and control over the resale process. Rebag sets a new standard for luxury consignment with upfront quotes, pre-approved payouts, fixed commission rates, and quick payments.
