Vestiaire Collective, the Paris-based pioneer of luxury resale, unveiled a major partnership to power Ganni’s new branded resale service, while also ushering in a new era of leadership with the appointment of Bernard Osta as CEO. These developments underline Vestiaire’s strategy to advance circularity in fashion, integrate with leading designer brands, and accelerate product innovation and growth in the resale sector.
Ganni x Vestiaire Collective: A Win-Win for Circular Fashion
The new GANNI x Vestiaire Collective resale service allows customers to submit their pre-loved Ganni pieces directly through the Vestiaire Collective platform. After expert review and authentication, sellers instantly receive a Ganni gift card, topped up by the brand, eliminating the waiting time for items to sell.
“This partnership reflects a shared belief: impactful change happens when we work together,” Vestiaire said of the new arrangement.
“By combining Ganni’s progressive vision with Vestiaire Collective’s preloved fashion expertise, we’re creating a seamless way for the Ganni community to participate in the circular economy.”
The collaboration is the 13th addition to Vestiaire’s Resale-as-a-Service programme, begun in 2021 to meet luxury brands’ growing needs for customer-centric, circular commerce solutions. The programme already counts Chloé, Burberry, Isabel Marant, MyTheresa, and LuisaViaRoma among its clients, offering store credit for resold items and fostering brand loyalty while bringing high-quality supply to Vestiaire Collective’s curated selection.
Sophie Hersan, co-founder and fashion director at Vestiaire Collective, noted, “At Vestiaire Collective, we give every piece a new life. Through our new strategic collaboration with Ganni, we want to democratise and empower our communities, making it even easier to embrace circular fashion. Ganni and Vestiaire Collective share common values when it comes to innovation, positive impact and desirability: together, we can shape the future of fashion.”
Instant Circular Rewards and Brand Loyalty
A key innovation in the Ganni partnership is the immediate gift card reward, which is credited as soon as items are authenticated, rather than after sale, helping motivate more customers to participate in recommerce.
A Ganni gift card is distributed to consumers opting to resell their luxury goods from the brand via Vestiaire Collective. The gift card is topped up with an additional 10% bonus.
Leadership Change: Bernard Osta Succeeds Maximilian Bittner as CEO
Around the same time as the new Ganni service launch, Vestiaire Collective announced significant leadership news. In October, 2025, the board named Bernard Osta, formerly Chief Strategy Officer and CFO, as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Maximilian Bittner after seven years at the helm.
The appointment signals a focus on product innovation, artificial intelligence, and international expansion.
Osta said, “With the rise of AI, we have an extraordinary opportunity to accelerate on our product roadmap, deliver the most engaging customer experience and gain market share.”
The board praised Bittner’s leadership and cited Osta’s deep knowledge of the company, international experience and great leadership as key assets for the platform’s next growth phase. Under Osta, Vestiaire Collective will double down on its mission to deliver the ultimate trusted marketplace in the highly attractive pre-loved luxury fashion industry, with a strategic focus on AI, authentication, and global reach.
Looking Forward: Market Position and Vision
Founded in Paris, Vestiaire Collective now operates in many countries and boasts a catalog of over 5 million items. Its continued expansion into resale-as-a-service, innovative brand partnerships, and investment in AI technologies are solidifying its position as a market leader in sustainable luxury retail.
“At Vestiaire Collective, we give every piece a new life. Through our new strategic collaboration with Ganni, we want to democratise and empower our communities, making it even easier to embrace circular fashion. Ganni and Vestiaire Collective share common values when it comes to innovation, positive impact and desirability: together, we can shape the future of fashion,” said Sophie Hersan, co-founder and fashion director, Vestiaire Collective.
