Goody, Wet Brush, and MacKenzie-Childs are teaming up on a limited edition 2026 hair accessories collection, bringing Courtly Check style patterns and bright color to everyday brushes, clips, and scrunchies in an exclusive drop at Target.
Pattern-first collab story
The collaboration unites two mass hair accessory leaders with an artisan driven home décor brand known for its hand painted checks and whimsical prints. The goal is to turn basic hair routines into small design moments, using MacKenzie Childs visual language on familiar Goody and Wet Brush forms.
Amanda Moskowicz, EVP of Shared Services for Goody and Wet Brush, said, “This collaboration felt a little bit like magic from the start,” framing it as a celebration of pattern, personality, and fun in everyday essentials rather than a standard licensing play. For three established names in their categories, it’s a way to pull a recognizable home décor aesthetic into the beauty aisle while keeping formats practical.
Design, patterns, and assortment
The limited edition range spans Wet Brush detanglers, headlined by the Original Detangler, billed as the #1 brush in the U.S., plus classic Goody accessories like claw clips, scrunchies, and hair ties. New add ons such as compact mirrors, elastic holders, and bobby pin cases round out the lineup, positioning the capsule as a small ecosystem of coordinated hair tools.
MacKenzie-Childs signature patterns are reimagined across the collection, including Courtly Check, Rosy Check, Butterfly Toile, Wildflowers, and Butterfly Hill. The effect is a mix of black and white checks, florals, and butterfly motifs layered over handles, clips, and fabric, leaning into a “tradition with a twist” aesthetic the brand is known for in tableware and décor.
Brand perspectives
Rebecca Proctor, Chief Brand Officer and Creative Director at MacKenzie-Childs, said, “Extending our design into hair accessories offers a natural extension to add playful, joyful moments into daily routines”. Her comments position the project as an extension of how the brand already lives on tables, furniture, and home accessories, now moving onto the body through styling tools.
For Goody, founded in 1907 and long associated with ouchless hair accessories, and Wet Brush, with over 20 years in detangling tools, the capsule adds a fashion forward layer without changing core functions. Both brands emphasize that the underlying products retain their familiar performance promises around gentle detangling and secure hold.
Price, launch, and retail access
Price points for the Goody x Wet Brush x MacKenzie-Childs collection range from $9.99 to $18.99, keeping the collaboration in an accessible bracket compared to typical designer tie ins. The limited edition drop will be available from March 1 while supplies last.
Distribution is focused on Target.com, select Target stores, mackenzie-childs.com, and wetbrush.com. That mix brings MacKenzie-Childs patterns into big box retail while still giving the brand’s own channels and Wet Brush’s site a share of the spotlight.
Why it matters for beauty and accessories
For beauty, fashion, and accessories watchers, this collaboration is a clear example of home décor aesthetics crossing into personal care tools in a more deliberate, design led way. It shows heritage and specialist brands using co branded, limited collections to add novelty to staple categories like brushes and hair ties without drifting into purely seasonal gimmicks.
