MADAM by Madam C.J. Walker, a new hair care line inspired by the iconic trailblazer and first self-made female millionaire in America, has launched in Walmart stores across the country. The brand, which pays homage to Madam C.J. Walker's revolutionary legacy, offers a range of 11 damage-defying products designed to respect, protect, and perfect various hair styles for women of color.
Born Sarah Breedlove on December 23, 1867, Madam C.J. Walker started her own company in 1906, using the "Walker Method" to sell hair products door-to-door in the South. Her first product, "Madam Walker's Wonderful Hair Grower," laid the foundation for what would become a beauty empire. Today, her great-great-granddaughter A'Lelia Bundles and Cara Sabin, CEO of Sundial Brands, have collaborated to bring Madam Walker's vision of healthy hair to a new generation through the MADAM brand.
Launched in January 2022, the MADAM by Madam C.J. Walker line is available at select Walmart stores and online at Walmart.com, with all products priced under $10. This affordable and accessible approach aligns with Madam Walker's mission from over a century ago, making quality hair care products available to a wide audience.
The 11-product collection, known as the Scalp to Strand System, caters to the diverse needs of textured hair, offering solutions for various styling techniques.
