Moncler and JIL SANDER have come together for their highly anticipated “Moncler + JIL SANDER” collection, an innovative fusion of functional elegance and outdoor beauty, which officially debuted in Milan on November 18, 2025. Crafted under the Creative Direction of Simone Bellotti, this collaboration draws deeply from the tranquil forms of nature, snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, and dense foliage, delivering clean lines, refined silhouettes, and soft, voluminous textures that merge the legacy of both brands.
Design Philosophy
The capsule’s creative direction, guided by Simone Bellotti, draws from the tranquil elegance of the natural world, building silhouettes inspired by snow-capped peaks, rolling hills, dense foliage, and smooth pebbles. “The collection is defined by voluminous layers and a sense of ‘roundness’ drawn from the great outdoors,” with bulbous jackets, padded cardigans, and dome-shaped skirts that echo these organic shapes, says Moncler.
Refined details are everywhere, from a jewellery-like silver-tone pin, curved and circular, echoing the outline of Moncler’s logo, to the use of soft double wool, lightweight washed cotton twill, and a long-haired wool processed for “fluid, floating movement in motion.” These tactile elements are layered with Moncler’s famed down-filled nylon, reinforcing the marriage of luxury and alpine functionality.
Brand Heritage and Global Reach
Moncler, founded in 1952 in Monestier-de-Clermont, France, and now headquartered in Italy, has built a reputation for blending expert technical research with enduring style. The outerwear catalog “marries the extreme demands of nature with those of city life,” offered across a robust international retail networkMoncler.
Remo Ruffini, CEO of Moncler, notes, “Moncler has never been just about winter and puffers. From day one, it has always been about love and warmth.”
JIL SANDER: Modernity and Refined Aesthetic
JIL SANDER, under the creative leadership of Simone Bellotti since March 2025, brings “deliberation, rigour, and artistry” to its collections. With global presence spanning 80 boutiques, the Milan-based label stands for modernity and sophistication… elegance and purity with innovative materials and exceptional quality.
Bellotti has announced earlier in March 2025 that, “I am incredibly honoured to join Jil Sander, a storied house that created a new aesthetic with its unique approach and strong identity, and that has always had such a significant influence on the design community.”
Launch, Retail, and Experience
The Moncler + JIL SANDER debut is supported by a multi-channel global roll-out, including flagship Moncler and JIL SANDER stores, their respective online boutiques, and a high-profile pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku, Tokyo. Menswear will be featured from November 19 to December 2, while womenswear is available from November 19 to 25.
Collaborative Debut at City of Genius
The collection first premiered at Moncler’s City of Genius event in Shanghai, presented in a loop of models within a pristine, luminous circular space, enclosed by 360-degree curved screens showcasing the beauty of nature. Guests experienced a sublime simulation of the natural world while interacting with the capsule.
