Shoe Palace, the leading athletic footwear and apparel retailer where sneaker culture, style and West Coast energy collide, unveiled today its new Shoe Palace Melrose “Nine Three” Flagship concept. Shoe Palace drew inspiration from the vibrant, eclectic street surrounding it, offering an elevated experience true to the energetic shopping district.
“Melrose Avenue has always been one of the most influential destinations for style and culture. We’re excited to build on that history, elevating it for Shoe Palace’s customers and creating a platform for our partners,” said Shoe Palace Co-Founder, CEO & President Ralph Mersho. “Our new Nine Three flagship unites heritage, innovation, and style in a way that’s authentic to California, past and present.”

The fourth of seven planned Nine Three Flagship concepts, Shoe Palace Melrose subtly harkens to California’s Prohibition era by interpreting the mystique of hidden lounges with a luxurious, private speakeasy created for its tastemaker clientele and private events.
Premium materials used throughout the store reflect the Nine Three design philosophy with custom stone and marble, rich botanical prints, opulent wall treatments and soft notes of blush pink and mint green.

“We challenged our retail team to create a store that captures people’s imagination,” said Mersho. “That’s where the idea of a hidden speakeasy came from. The entire layout has been meticulously-arranged. The products we carry are aspirational, but accessible. We’re excited to serve as a platform for our partner’s exclusives and limited global drops. Shoe Palace Melrose gives customers a unique shopping experience that goes beyond traditional retail.”

Offering men’s and women’s assortments, the new flagship cements Shoe Palace as the leading provider of exclusive sneaker and sports apparel releases, platforming community and insider access, in a family-friendly environment.

Founded in 1993, Shoe Palace operates more than 260 stores in 13 states, providing today’s most sought after brands, including Nike, Jordan Brand, Adidas and more.
