The Coach Foundation is taking bold steps to empower the next generation of dreamers. In a landmark announcement, the Foundation revealed a transformative $20 million investment to advance opportunities for under-resourced young people across North America.
This move nearly doubles its commitment to the North American Dream It Real program by 2030, aiming to accelerate the Foundation’s ambitious goal of awarding 10,000 scholarships by the end of the decade—and putting them on track to reach that milestone even sooner.
Dream It Real: A Legacy of Impact
The Dream It Real program stands as the Coach Foundation’s flagship initiative, deeply rooted in its mission to create opportunities and remove barriers for the next generation. Through collegiate scholarships, mentorship, and vital resources, the program has already made a significant impact:
-
97% of Dream It Real scholars are on track to graduate college on time—a remarkable feat compared to the 21% national average for students from similar backgrounds.
-
94% of scholars are first-generation college students, graduating with 88% less debt than the national average.
These outcomes are clear evidence of the program’s effectiveness and the life-changing opportunities it provides.
Strategic Partnerships for Lasting Change
The Coach Foundation’s impact is amplified through strategic partnerships with leading education organizations like Bottom Line and The Opportunity Network. Together, they are dismantling barriers to higher education and driving lasting change for young people who dare to dream big. To date, the Foundation has provided over 7,000 scholarships to young people around the world.
Leadership Speaks: A Commitment to the Future
Todd Kahn, Coach CEO and Brand President, emphasized the significance of this new investment, stating:
"This investment represents our unwavering commitment to the young people we support. With an expanded investment in North American programs, we're accelerating our impact and scaling what we know works. These young people are achieving remarkable outcomes and we're committed to helping even more of the next generation realize their potential and shape the future. Our new 2030 goals will ensure we can reach even more students who deserve access to pursue their dreams," said Todd Kahn, Coach CEO and Brand President.
Dream Day 2025: Celebrating Achievements and Welcoming New Scholars
The $20 million announcement was made during the Coach Foundation’s annual Dream Day convening on June 12, 2025. This year’s event was particularly special, marking a unique milestone: the first official cohort of graduating Dream It Real scholars and the welcoming of the program’s largest and newest cohort.
With over 400 young people in attendance, the event featured inspiring conversations with WNBA stars Kiki Iriafen (Washington Mystics) and Aneesah Morrow (Connecticut Sun). The theme, Dream Horizons, captured the spirit of the day—a powerful turning point where one chapter ends and another begins. Activities like speed mentoring, manifestation stations, and interactive workshops fueled inspiration and forward-thinking.
Looking Ahead: A Brighter Future for Young Dreamers
With this new commitment, the Coach Foundation continues to advance its mission of helping young people reach their highest potential. Driven by the belief that all young people should have access to pursue their dreams, the Foundation’s expanded investment ensures that even more students will have the resources and support they need to succeed.
