Seattle-based fashion retailer Nordstrom has announced plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack store in Mason, Ohio. The announcement was made on September 19, and the new location is set to strengthen the company's network of stores while introducing new customers to Nordstrom Rack's unique product offerings.
Carl Jenkins, Senior Vice President of Nordstrom Rack Stores, expressed his anticipation for the opening of the new location. He stated, "We look forward to opening this new Nordstrom Rack location in Mason, strengthening our network of stores and introducing new customers to Nordstrom Rack's unique product offering." He further highlighted the convenience the new location will offer to customers, including the ability to pick up online orders and make returns.
The new Nordstrom Rack store will be located at Deerfield Towne Center, a shopping center owned and managed by RPT Realty. The center is strategically positioned a few miles north of the I-71/I-275 interchange and houses a collection of specialty retail, upscale grocery, and restaurants. Adding Nordstrom Rack will enhance the overall merchandising mix and attract more traffic to the center.
Rich Bevis, Vice President of Leasing for RPT, expressed his pleasure at welcoming Nordstrom Rack to Deerfield Towne Center. He noted that adding Nordstrom Rack would significantly enhance the overall merchandising mix by adding a solid traffic generator and impactful fashion user to the center.
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., and is critical in the company's Closer to You strategy. This strategy focuses on delivering customers a more convenient and interconnected experience across stores and digital platforms. Nordstrom Rack offers customers up to 70 percent off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty, home, and shoes from many of the top brands sold at Nordstrom stores.
In addition to its business operations, Nordstrom is committed to giving back to the diverse communities where it operates. Since 2019, along with its customers, Nordstrom has donated more than $1.7 million to support its long-term partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the United States.
Mason's new Nordstrom Rack store is scheduled to open in fall 2024. With this addition and another location opening in Macedonia, Ohio in spring 2024, Nordstrom will operate eight Nordstrom Rack stores and three Nordstrom stores in Ohio.
