Primark, the international clothing retailer renowned for its affordable fashion, is expanding its presence in the US South with three new store leases in South Carolina, Texas, and Georgia. The announcement signals Primark's continued commitment to the US market and its strategy to bring value-driven fashion to a wider audience.

The new stores will be located at:

  • Haywood Mall, Greenville, SC
  • The Parks Mall at Arlington, Arlington, TX
  • Augusta Mall, Augusta, GA

The new locations, which span 96,400 square feet, will feature Primark's extensive range of on-trend clothing, family essentials, stylish homewares, and beauty products, all at prices that have resonated with US shoppers.

Primark Strategic Retail Expansion

Primark's decision to expand further into the US South reflects a strategic move to capitalize on the region's growing consumer base and demand for affordable fashion options. The retailer first entered the US market in 2015 and has since been steadily building its presence, primarily along the East Coast. The move into Texas late last year, followed by this expansion into South Carolina and Georgia, marks a significant step in Primark's broader US growth strategy.

"We are proud to introduce Primark to South Carolina and Georgia for the first time, while also strengthening our presence in Texas, on the heels of our first opening in the state late last year," said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark US. "These expansions reflect our commitment to bringing Primark's unique combination of style, quality, and affordability to even more shoppers in the US. We look forward to becoming part of these communities and providing families with a wide selection of fashion, beauty, and accessories at unbeatable value."

Primark differentiates itself by offering a diverse range of products at competitive prices. Shoppers can find everyday essentials like denim starting at $10, tee shirts at $4, and licensed merchandise featuring popular brands like Netflix, Disney, and Marvel. The stores also offer sports apparel, including collections for the NFL and NBA.

This initiative focuses on extending the life of clothing, protecting the planet, and supporting the livelihoods of garment workers. By 2030, Primark aims to make all of its clothes from recycled or more sustainably sourced materials, halve carbon emissions across its value chain, and pursue a living wage for workers in its supply chain.

As Primark prepares to open its new stores, it actively recruits employees to fill various roles in South Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. Information on available positions can be found on the Primark Careers Site.
