Sephora, the leading prestige beauty omni-retailer, has partnered with FreedomPay, the world's leading commerce platform, to integrate FreedomPay's data-driven commerce technology in over 500 Sephora stores across the Americas. This partnership aims to provide a safe, secure, and innovative Mobile Point of Sale (POS) consumer experience for Sephora shoppers.
The new touchless capable payment system enables Sephora clients to have complete control over their checkout experience, giving them the option to pay via contactless payment methods and digital wallets all on their own device, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. This collaboration allows Sephora to adapt to the quickly changing retail environment and maximize efficiencies and capabilities at checkout.
Chris Kronenthal, President at FreedomPay, expressed pride in the agreement with Sephora, stating that their suite of touchless commerce and data solutions will enable Sephora to provide customers with a fast, frictionless, and innovative consumer experience. Sree Sreedhararaj, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Sephora, emphasized the importance of adapting to the changing retail environment and providing a seamless experience for clients throughout their shopping journey.
In addition to the partnership with FreedomPay, Sephora has also teamed up with Afterpay, the leader in "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) payments, to offer customers the flexibility to pay in four installments when shopping for their favorite beauty brands and products in the U.S. This partnership is expected to expand to Sephora Canada later this year.
With these collaborations, Sephora continues to prioritize convenience and flexibility for its diverse shopper base, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience both online and in-store.
