UNIQLO Opens first Winnipeg Store at CF Polo Park Mall

UNIQLO is bringing its signature LifeWear concept to Winnipeg this spring with a new store at CF Polo Park, marking the brand’s first location in Manitoba and expanding access to its functional, minimalist staples for even more Canadians. The opening continues UNIQLO’s steady Canadian growth strategy, blending viral wardrobe basics, Japanese design values, and an omnichannel model that connects in store service with the convenience of UNIQLO.com.

UNIQLO’s first Winnipeg store

Global apparel retailer UNIQLO has announced that its first Winnipeg store will open at CF Polo Park Mall this spring, positioning the brand in one of the city’s highest traffic retail destinations. With growing customer affinity for LifeWear in Canada, the move into Manitoba reflects strong demand for elevated essentials that are simple, high quality, and built for everyday life.

Since opening its first Canadian store in Toronto in 2016, UNIQLO has built a distinctive in store experience around clean layouts, broad size ranges, and easy to navigate categories. The brand continues to win over shoppers through viral products, designer collaborations, and proprietary technologies like HEATTECH and AIRism, which help drive repeat visits and strong word of mouth.

LifeWear for the whole family

At CF Polo Park, UNIQLO will offer its full LifeWear lineup across men’s, women’s, kids’, and baby categories, giving Winnipeg shoppers access to seasonless basics and weather ready essentials under one roof. The store will also feature seasonal collaborations and the UT (UNIQLO T shirt) range of graphic tees, which often spotlight pop culture, art, and limited edition designs.

The new location is part of UNIQLO’s global business model that combines what the company calls world class in store service with the convenience of its uniqlo.com online platform. This hybrid approach allows customers in Winnipeg and across Canada to shop seamlessly between physical and digital channels, from fit and fabric discovery in store to easy reorders and expanded assortments online.

Community focused growth in Canada

Yuya Tanahashi, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO in Canada, “This is a massive milestone for UNIQLO in Canada. As UNIQLO continues to resonate with Canadian customers, Winnipeg offers exciting potential. We aim to deliver essential clothing that complements their lifestyles as building blocks of their wardrobe. We look forward to introducing our innovative LifeWear products here, and to engaging with new customers,” Tanahashi said.

To support the launch, UNIQLO plans to expand hiring in Winnipeg, creating what it describes as a welcoming, inclusive workplace. The retailer is encouraging ambitious leaders to apply through the Fast Retailing careers page and will host a series of career fairs so prospective employees can meet support reps and learn more about roles across the organization.
