Anthropologie, the global lifestyle and retail brand celebrated for its philanthropic program, has taken a transformative step in its national community engagement. The company announced new collaborations with four major nonprofit partners, each representing one of the core U.S. regions: North Central, East, South, and West. This expansion builds upon recent Philadelphia-based partnerships and underlines Anthropologie’s continual drive to create positive local impact while operating at a national scale.

These partnerships directly align with Anthropologie’s pillars of Arts Education, Women’s Empowerment, and Sustainability. Uniquely, the selected partners were nominated by Anthropologie store associates across the country, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to community involvement and authenticity.

“At Anthropologie, our stores are not just places of business—they’re deeply rooted in local communities across the country,” said Mindy Massey, Global Executive Director of Retail at Anthropologie Group. “These regional partnerships give our associates a meaningful way to connect with causes that matter in their communities and reflect what we stand for as a brand.”

Meaningful Giving: Charitable Action at Scale

Each of the four selected organizations receives:

  • An annual $10,000 donation

  • Ongoing support via employee volunteer activities

  • Local community engagement opportunities

With thousands of associates and hundreds of stores, Anthropologie’s nationwide retail presence acts as a force multiplier, amplifying the influence of these nonprofits and engaging communities at every level.

Meet the New Regional Nonprofit Partners

  • Arts Midwest (North Central): Advances creativity across the Midwest through supporting artists, funding organizations, and fostering thriving communities with grants and leadership resources. Anthropologie’s support will help impact over 250,000 artists, arts leaders, and community members annually.

  • Mid Atlantic Arts (East): Connects people and communities through diverse artistic expression, providing funding and programs that support creatives and expand access to arts and culture. Support from Anthropologie enables over 1,000 annual artistic performances and events.

  • Southern Black Girls & Women’s Consortium (South): A collective empowering Black girls and women by funding over 250+ Black-women-led organizations in 13 southern states. Anthropologie’s contribution supports resources and leadership development.

  • The Surfrider Foundation (West): A driving force in environmental activism dedicated to protecting the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches. This partnership promotes clean water initiatives, advocacy, and coastal community education.

“This expansion marks a natural evolution of our social impact efforts following the launch of our local Philadelphia partnerships earlier this year,” said Kate Haldy, Head of PR, Communications, and Impact at Anthropologie Group. “By empowering our store teams to identify, nominate, and engage with organizations making a difference in their regions, we’re deepening our commitment to impact, and scaling it in an authentic and community-driven way.”

A Blueprint for Scalable Community Impact

Anthropologie’s unique approach, allowing employees to directly nominate local causes, ensures nationwide giving is rooted in genuine community needs and reflects the values of its workforce. The collective action facilitates targeted support for the arts, women’s empowerment, and sustainability initiatives across America.
