Walmart Launches Beauty Brand Accelerator Program For Emerging Brands
Walmart is looking for the next big names in beauty, with the newly announced Beauty Brand Accelerator Program, Walmart will be incubating five up and coming brands. The selected brands will have the opportunity to launch at Walmart stores, and receive resources to help set up their brand to sell in Walmart. Walmart is searching for unique, innovative brands that are ready to take it to the next level and become Walmart customers’ next big beauty obsessions. Applications are now open, apply here.
The Walmart Start program includes three pillars including education, brand activation and mentorship/networking:
A virtual classroom series, suppliers will learn useful tips in areas ranging from shipping to invoicing to gear up for launch. During Walmart Start, selected accelerator brands will also get to choose a brand management consultant from one of our sponsors below for executional and operational individualized support to navigate Walmart’s tools, process, requirements, reporting, and more to prepare for launch at Walmart.
The goal is to launch all Walmart Start brands at Walmart as beauty’s rising stars. Even better, all brands selected to launch under Walmart Start may be included in select marketing efforts like Walmart.com campaigns and our “New and Trending” section on Walmart.com. Selected brands will also receive Walmart Connect Acceleration Academy admission, which includes Walmart Connect credits and Walmart Connect training.

I am a speaker, consultant and former senior managing director of The School of Retailing, University of Alberta. My education includes a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from The University of Alberta in Marketing, Certificate in Real Estate and a Diploma in Fashion Merchandising and Buying from LasSalle College, a Canadian private school founded in 1959 by fashion designer Jean-Paul Morin.
