Dioriviera Sails Into Turkey as Jonathan Anderson Brings Dior to D Maris Bay

Dior has extended its Dioriviera 2026 universe to Turkey, unveiling a Riviera project at D Maris Bay that showcases the new summer collection designed for the first time by Jonathan Anderson, paying tribute to Monsieur Dior’s cherished dreams of new horizons.

Dioriviera arrives at D Maris Bay

Set on the secluded D Maris Bay along Turkey’s Datça Peninsula, the new Dioriviera project transforms the resort into a seasonal retreat dedicated to the house’s summer universe. The installation forms part of Dior’s global Dioriviera rollout, in which creations are presented each summer at emblematic seaside and resort locations around the world.

The collection and its accompanying scenography are designed by Jonathan Anderson, who brings a fresh perspective to Dioriviera while honouring Christian Dior’s love of travel, light and faraway horizons. His take on the capsule blends Riviera ease with graphic, modern detailing, echoing both the Mediterranean and broader resort destinations like D Maris Bay.

A seaside scenography with gozzo-inspired boats

This season’s visual concept is inspired by the seaside, with displays that reveal a fleet of sailing boats and two large-scale boat structures in cheerful, summery colours. These boats pay homage to the timeless elegance of the gozzo, the traditional Italian fishing boat whose rounded lines and low profiles are closely associated with the Mediterranean.

At D Maris Bay, the boats and boat inspired forms are integrated into terraces and poolside zones, where parasols, loungers and Dioriviera furnishings are laid out overlooking the bay. The result is a layered Riviera scene in which architecture, landscape and the collection’s prints and colours echo one another, creating a fully immersive summer environment.

Dioriviera aesthetic in a Turkish setting

According to project descriptions from ThirtyOne Design + Management, the Dior Riviera – Turkey – D Maris Bay concept uses elegant umbrella-shaded spaces, sculptural décor elements and custom furniture to mirror the surrounding natural landscape. Animal sculptures, signature prints and soft-toned fabrics help translate the Dioriviera aesthetic into a Turkish coastal context, maintaining a balance of luxury and relaxation.

These choices underline Dior’s broader seasonal strategy: to make Dioriviera not just a capsule of products, but an atmosphere, where guests inhabit the brand’s world through architecture, furniture, and scenography that feels rooted in its location. At D Maris Bay, that world draws directly on the meeting of the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, framing the bay as a living backdrop to the collection.

Tribute to craftsmanship and Mediterranean spirit

With its gozzo inspired elements and seaside storytelling, the D Maris Bay project echoes the same themes of craftsmanship, memory and maritime culture that Dior is highlighting across Dioriviera this year. The boats and their sculptural counterparts symbolise a dialogue between heritage and reinvention, aligning the Riviera’s nautical traditions with contemporary design and retail display.

By situating Dioriviera 2026 at D Maris BayDior reinforces its connection to the wider Mediterranean lifestyle, tying the collection’s colours, silhouettes and prints to real-world coastal experiences. The project showcases how the house’s summer universe can be adapted to different geographies while maintaining a consistent narrative of travel, light and handcrafted elegance.
