The iconic fashion house Maison Schiaparelli, founded by avant-garde Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli in 1927, is set to open a permanent store at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. This marks the first time since its relaunch by Italian entrepreneur Diego Della Valle in 2012 that the Paris couture house has opened a permanent space outside its salon on Place Vendôme. The boutique will be unveiled on October 12th and will be located on the fourth floor of the department store.
Schiaparelli’s relationship with Bergdorf Goodman dates back to the 1930s, and the label opened a pop-up at the store in 2018 to mark the introduction of its ready-to-wear collection. Designed by Roseberry in collaboration with architect Daniel Romualdez, the space is inspired by the original decor of founder Elsa Schiaparelli’s salons in Paris and features galvanized metal racks, echoing the gold hardware that Roseberry has made a signature of the label.
