RetailBoss (“RetailBoss,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent editorial and market-intelligence publication covering the business of retail. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit retailboss.co, create an account, subscribe to communications, contact us, access research, or otherwise interact with our websites, content, and services.

Information you provide
- Account information: information such as your name, email address, login credentials, account preferences, newsletter choice, and saved or followed content.
- Communications: information you include when you contact RetailBoss, submit an inquiry, apply for an opportunity, respond to a survey, or communicate with our editorial, research, events, partnerships, or support teams.
- Newsletter information: your email address and subscription preferences when you choose to receive RetailBoss communications. Newsletter subscriptions may be completed or synchronized through Substack when you opt in.
- Research and event information: information submitted to access research, download materials, register interest, participate in an event, or contribute information to a RetailBoss research workflow.
- Public contributions: information you choose to include in comments or other public-facing submissions, where those features are available.
Information collected automatically
When you use our services, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, approximate location derived from IP address, dates and times of access, pages viewed, links selected, research items viewed or downloaded, and security or diagnostic events. We may associate activity with your RetailBoss account when you are signed in.

4. Third-party services and embedded content
RetailBoss pages may contain embedded content, forms, social-sharing tools, or links operated by third parties. Current examples may include Substack for newsletter subscriptions, LinkedIn and other social networks, Google Forms, and content-delivery or security services such as Cloudflare. When you interact with a third-party service, that provider may collect information under its own privacy policy and terms. RetailBoss does not control third-party privacy practices.
5. International processing
RetailBoss and its service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, and other countries. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful access requests. We use reasonable contractual, organizational, and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information and the processing involved.
