Case pack

RETAILBOSS ReferenceUpdated November 2, 2026

A case pack is the defined quantity or assortment of units supplied together in one ordering or shipping package.

How it works in retail

A pack may contain identical items or a predetermined mix of sizes, colours or products. Buyers need the pack structure to calculate actual order quantities.

A retail example

A supplier sells a garment in packs of six, with an agreed size mix. Ordering four packs creates a 24-unit order.

What to keep in mind

Pack quantities affect the depth of a buy. Check whether the ordering system records cases or individual units to avoid quantity errors.

Examples are illustrative. Terminology and measurement conventions can vary by business and market.
