Represent Expands Into Africa With a Cape Town Retail Opening

The announcement follows a teaser shared in July, when Represent revealed that a Cape Town flagship was on the way. The brand, founded by brothers George Heaton and Michael Heaton, has now brought that plan to life in one of South Africa’s most important fashion and tourism destinations.

A New African Retail Milestone The new Cape Town store represents an important physical retail moment for Represent. Until now, the label’s presence in South Africa had been linked to multi-brand retail through Ritual Store at the V&A Waterfront, which introduced Represent to the local market in 2023.

A flagship gives the brand greater control over its full product presentation, store environment and customer experience. It also enables Represent to communicate its visual identity more directly through materials, layout, merchandising and dedicated product launches.
