Chanel’s President and Chief Operating Officer, John Galantic, is set to step down from his role on June 30 after serving the luxury French fashion house for over a decade. Galantic first joined Chanel in 2006 and took on an additional global leadership role in 2017 to establish the Integrated Platform team, which was later renamed Global Digital Services. Under his leadership, Chanel Inc. transformed into a powerhouse, pioneering a client-centric model that increased the brand’s owned distribution and elevated the client experience.

Galantic’s decision to leave Chanel has been attributed to his desire to pursue other career opportunities and have a more direct-to-client relationship with key partners. This move would allow him to better serve clients and communicate directly with them. His resignation was confirmed by a spokesperson for the company, who also mentioned that his successor would be named very soon.
