Arc’teryx and Protect Our Winters Put Circular Product Design Into the Sperro SV

From product claim to operating system Arc’teryx says System 0™ is designed around the full life of a product: the materials selected at the start, the durability expected in use, repair through ReBIRD™, and what happens once an item can no longer be used.

The partnership with Protect Our Winters, which the brands say began in 2018, adds a climate-advocacy component to the commercial proposition. A portion of every Sperro SV purchase supports Protect Our Winters, linking a product sale to the organization’s advocacy work.

The move puts post-purchase services and product longevity alongside design and performance as part of the value proposition. It also gives Arc’teryx a structure for testing how repair, material choices and end-of-use decisions can be communicated at the point of sale and carried through the life of the product.
