Balmain Beauty names Hans Dorsinville as SVP

Hans Dorsinville has been named SVP, Global Creative Director of BALMAIN BEAUTY by BALMAIN. Beginning in January 2023, he will work under Olivier Rousteing, BALMAIN's Creative Director, and report to him directly. 

Hans will collaborate closely with Estée Lauder Companies officials Nathalie Berger Duquene, Senior Vice President (SVP), Global General Manager, BALMAIN BEAUTY, and Guillaume Jesel, President, Global Brands, TOM FORD BEAUTY and Luxury Business Development. He will be in charge of directing BALMAIN BEAUTY's whole creative spectrum, including image, concepts, and strategy alignment with the fashion house, in his capacity as SVP, Global Creative. He will collaborate with the team to make sure that the customer journey is seamless at all points of contact.

Hans brings to BALMAIN BEAUTY more than 25 years of experience. He has held executive positions with prestigious fashion and advertising firms, such as Donna Karan, where he served as Chief Creative Officer. Hans most recently served as the creative strategist for numerous significant fashion and beauty brands at Gotham. Before joining Gotham, he worked at Laird + Partners as EVP and Senior Group Creative Director, where he conceived brand strategy and art directed digital, print packaging design, merchandising, and fashion shows for clients in the luxury fragrance, fine jewelry, and fashion industries.

When Hans joined Donna Karan's internal creative agency in the early 1990s as a Junior Designer, his rise to creative leadership in the fashion and cosmetics industries began. Hans moved into the position of EVP, taking on positions with greater levels of responsibility and creating advertisements for the Collection and the DKNY bridge line. He was involved in many facets of fashion at Donna Karan, including skincare and fragrance licensees. Hans is a Parsons School of Design alumnus from both New York and Paris.

Hans is known for championing diversity, inclusion and empowerment across his work and in the fashion and beauty industries. In 2018, Hans founded the Creative Coalition for Diversity in an effort to expand opportunities for a more diverse and inclusive group of creatives of color.
