Cartier Opens a New Shenzhen Airport Boutique With China Duty Free Group

Cartier has reopened its relocated boutique at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, strengthening its presence in one of China’s most important domestic travel hubs. The redesigned store opened on August 19 in the domestic departures hall of Terminal 3 through a partnership with China Duty Free Group.

The relocation gives Cartier a new platform to serve passengers travelling through Shenzhen, a city at the centre of the Greater Bay Area’s fast moving luxury and business landscape. The boutique carries jewellery, watches, leather goods, fragrances and accessories, creating a full Maison experience for domestic travellers.

A New Travel Retail Location The new Cartier boutique is located in the heart of Terminal 3’s domestic departure hall at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport. Its placement allows the Maison to meet passengers at a key point in their journey, when they have time to browse, explore products and make purchases before boarding.

Airport retail has become increasingly important for luxury brands, particularly in high-volume domestic terminals. Travellers often arrive early, creating an opportunity for brands to provide an elevated shopping experience that goes beyond convenience purchases.
