Chanel Opens its First Stand Alone Boutique in Palo Alto at Stanford Shopping Center
CHANEL has opened a new boutique in Palo Alto, California, at the Stanford Shopping Center, marking the Maison’s first stand-alone boutique in the city and the largest CHANEL store in the Bay Area. Designed by longtime CHANEL collaborator Peter Marino, the approximately 5,100 square foot space brings the brand’s full fashion universe from ready to wear and leather goods to shoes, watches and fine jewellery to Silicon Valley.

rather than relying solely on shop in shops. Designed by Peter Marino The new boutique’s architecture and interiors are designed by Peter Marino, the New York based architect behind multiple CHANEL flagships around the world, including Beverly Hills, Fifth Avenue and Ginza.
Marino’s work for CHANEL is known for: Abstract, gallery like exteriors and carefully layered interiors. Use of stone, glass, metal and plush textures to frame fashion, accessories and fine jewellery as design objects.
In Palo Alto, this approach is translated into a low-rise, courtyard-adjacent format, fitting the open air character of Stanford Shopping Center while still conveying CHANEL’s urban luxury language.
