Extreme Cashmere Plans First China Flagship on Shanghai’s Wukang Road

Marc Schmidt, the brand’s managing director, said the team received the keys at the end of August and worked with its architects and contractor to prepare the space. He described the location as ‘our love letter to China.’ The company has not announced a precise opening date.

A more direct presence in China Extreme Cashmere’s own recruitment page says it has established a Chinese entity and already serves customers through existing channels. The Wukang Road flagship gives the label a permanent setting for presenting its collection and building direct relationships with local shoppers.

The brand’s owned-store network also includes Amsterdam and New York. Shanghai is a further step in that retail expansion, with the choice of a residential-scale heritage property reflecting the label’s preference for distinctive, intimate spaces.
