Gap Partners with FIT and The Brotherhood Sister Sol to Launch the NY Future Creators Program

Gap is expanding its youth and education efforts in New York City with the Future Creators Program, a new initiative developed in partnership with the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and The Brotherhood Sister Sol (BroSis) to give 13 to 18 year olds early access to creative education and fashion industry exposure.

Future Creators Program: what it is

Announced via Gap Inc. channels, the Future Creators Program is described as an experience “designed to inspire and empower New York youth ages 13 to 18 with creative education and industry exposure.” Built around the idea that “opportunity starts with access, early,” the program aims to connect young people to fashion, storytelling and identity work before college age, closing gaps that often delay entry into creative fields.

Through immersive coursework and Gap volunteerism, participating students will develop their own perspectives on fashion, identity and storytelling, while building skills relevant to future careers…
