Hermès Opens its Second Sydney Store at Chatswood Chase

The store’s design draws directly from the local surroundings. A transparent façade framed by light gold-metallic cladding opens into interiors inspired by Sydney’s landscapes and coastal rivers, creating a visual connection between the mall and the boutique.

Inside, soft colours, flowing structures, watercolour effect walls and sandstone textures echo the region’s geology and waterways, resulting in an atmosphere that feels bathed in light and rooted in place.

The effect is immersive yet calm, reinforcing Hermès’ reputation for using architecture and materials to tell subtle, site-specific stories. Designed by RDAI, the Paris-based architecture agency long associated with Hermès, the layout is conceived to showcase the full breadth of the house’s craftsmanship.
