J.Crew turned National Ice Cream Day into an IRL brand moment in the Hamptons, bringing a custom built J.Crew Ice Cream Parlor to Southampton and layering nostalgic design, local craft and collectible takeaways into a weekend long activation.
A scoop of summer on Main Street
The J.Crew Ice Cream Parlor popped up at 88 Main Street, Southampton, NY, running across National Ice Cream Day weekend as an open to the public experience. Visitors could stop by for free ice cream cups or cones with toppings while they shopped, positioning the activation as both a hospitality gesture and a footfall driver for the Southampton store.
Social content from J.Crew framed it as “a scoop of summer on us,” inviting Hamptons visitors to drop in for a sweet break between beach, brunch and browsing.

Design and production were handled by OVERNIGHT, the experiential studio behind previous J.Crew activations like the J.Crew Farmstand and newsstand concepts, which similarly mix custom builds, tactile props and branded storytelling.
