About this role

**Head of Marketing – Fragrance & Beauty**

**About the role:** The US F&B Head of Marketing is entrusted with shaping and elevating CHANEL's Brand Equity in the US, for the three strategic categories – Fragrance, Skincare and Makeup, in line with Global strategies and local market realities. This visionary leader can connect modernity with heritage, promote Brand saliency and desirability while helping drive data-informed, innovative and client‑centric growth, in a marketing landscape shaped by AI, innovation and new possibilities. Our ideal candidate is attuned with the ever-changing rules of the US market and client journeys and energized by fostering deep emotional connections between the Brand, its existing and potential clients. This position orchestrates the full marketing ecosystem with a strategic mindset, inspiring and promoting a collaborative partnership with DCX, Brand Communication and Artistic Direction teams, locally and globally. Leading both Brand Management and Trade & Retail Marketing teams, this role ensures that every expression of the brand is coherent, elevated and culturally resonant, creating ultimate client experience at every touchpoint.

**What impact you can create at CHANEL:** **Brand Strategy and Brand Equity Stewardship** Champion Chanel's brand equity, ensuring all initiatives reflect the House's heritage, creative vision, and uncompromising standards. Translate global brand strategies into locally relevant, high-impact plans that reinforce CHANEL's local leadership in luxury fragrance and beauty, while in return promoting US market and client realities towards Global teams. Demonstrate deep strategic and operational mastery of Fragrance, Skincare, and Makeup, understanding category dynamics, competitive landscapes, and client evolving motivations, to orchestrate locally relevant activations and nourish Global MTP product plans. Guide category teams to build long-term equity while delivering short-term business performance, supervising and consolidating A&P budget by axis, facilitating prioritization and monitoring sales performance and ROI to adapt plans and investments in real time.

**Data-Informed Strategy and Client Centricity** Commission and interpret marketing intelligence, consumer research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting to inform strategy. Translate customer data and market insights into articulated action plans by axis, govern implementation and measure success, with the support of the Transformation Office, Insights, Brand Comm (BC) and DCX teams. Connect the dots and lead the evolution from episodic insights to AI-augmented intuition, sensing cultural shifts and market opportunities.

**Experience Orchestration** Create unforgettable moments: together with the Artistic and Education teams, support the Retail to deliver extraordinary in-store and event experiences, consistent with Brand's standards. Leverage insights and data to anticipate the expectations of the diverse US clientele (esp younger targets) and shape meaningful, personalized experiences for launches and core product offer. Inspire, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, nurturing curiosity and innovative spirit, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

**Requirements:**

  • Product sensibility across Fragrance, Makeup and Skincare with deep fluency in F&B brand equity building in a US competitive and diverse environment.
  • Visionary and strategic thinker with strong executional discipline, able to think out of the box, bring the outside in and challenge conventions while honoring brand heritage and delivering exceptional client experience.
  • Inspirational leader who attracts, develops and retains top talents.
  • Deep cultural intuition and trend curiosity.
  • Data-driven and able to transform insights into action plans.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience and 15+ years of specific marketing experience.
  • Experience leading teams and leaders of teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize data easily.
