NONFICTION has opened NONFICTION Nagoya HAERA, its fourth store in Japan, bringing the Seoul born fragrance and lifestyle brand to Nagoya’s new luxury mall HAERA with a concept that treats aged wood as both material and memory. Located at 1F 106, 3‑25‑1 Nishiki, Naka‑ku, Nagoya, Aichi, Japan, the boutique is designed in collaboration with Jo Nagasaka of Schemata Architects and built around the idea of “reviving time worn wood.”

The new Nagoya HAERA store deepens NONFICTION’s Japanese footprint, following earlier locations in cities such as Tokyo and Osaka, and arrives as the brand continues to grow its presence across key Asian fragrance markets. The boutique sits on the first floor of HAERA, a recently opened luxury complex in central Nagoya that gathers fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands under one roof.

Design concept: “reviving time worn wood” For the Nagoya project, NONFICTION turned to Jo Nagasaka and Schemata Architects, known for minimal, material driven spaces across Japan.
Together, they developed a design centered on “reviving time worn wood,” using long preserved zelkova wood as the primary material throughout the store.
Zelkova, a tree species valued in Japanese architecture and furniture, is showcased here in surfaces that celebrate its rich textures and natural grain marks accumulated over time rather than sanded away…
