Square, a leading financial services platform, has launched Square Go, an innovative consumer booking app designed to streamline the process of discovering and scheduling appointments with top-rated service providers in the local area. This new application is set to revolutionize the way consumers interact with businesses, particularly within the beauty and personal care industry.
Square Go offers a plethora of features aimed at enhancing the consumer experience. Users can effortlessly book appointments with new businesses based on location, service, and availability. The app also provides personalized recommendations, suggesting businesses based on a user’s previous booking patterns. Furthermore, Square Go allows users to manage their bookings efficiently, offering options to confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments. This feature has led to a significant 55% decrease in no-shows among Square Go users.
The app also encourages customer retention by making rebooking a breeze. It showcases previous appointment history and suggests rebooking, resulting in 30% of consumers rebooking after seeing a suggestion within the app.
“Square Go has helped me reach another level of clientele I didn’t know I could by increasing visibility of my business, which also helps us financially,” said Justin Lavalle, Owner of J Lava Salon in Winter Park, FL. “Square Go has added tremendous value to both my salon and clients by creating a professional look and ease of booking for my clients. Now, clients don’t need to stop their work day to call me and schedule appointments, but they can do it all themselves, which also helps save me time.”
Square Go seamlessly integrates with Square Appointments, a platform that has facilitated over 488 million bookings since its launch in 2014. With a 15% year-over-year increase in bookings and 83% of them made via mobile devices, Square Go is perfectly positioned to cater to the growing preference for mobile-first experiences.
Alyssa Henry, CEO of Square, expressed her excitement about the launch, stating, “We believe Square Go is an important step in helping sellers make more sales by offering seller discovery and exceptional customer experiences. While we’re starting with beauty and personal care, Square Go will expand into additional industries to enable even more sellers and their customers.”
Square Go also offers businesses a professional profile that enhances their visibility and extends their brand reach. Sellers can personalize their profiles with essential information, including photos, staff directory, services, pricing, and social media links. The app also solicits verified reviews and feedback following an appointment, which are displayed on the seller’s profile.
In addition to these features, Square Go plans to introduce waitlists, advanced business recommendations, and in-app payments in the near future. Currently available in the US for iOS users, Square Go is free for both consumers and businesses, making it an accessible tool for enhancing the consumer booking experience.
