Stone Island Turns its Ravarino Headquarters into The Lab, an Integrated System Where Design and Research Evolve Together

Within this framework, the Ravarino headquarters functions as a living laboratory. Design teams and material researchers work side by side, continuously scrutinising and testing fibres, fabrics, dyes and treatments to push the boundaries of performance and appearance.

By embedding experimentation into everyday workflows, Stone Island ensures that innovation is not an occasional project but a constant, iterative practice one that directly informs the garments seen on streets, stadiums and runways around the world.

The architectural intervention at Ravarino preserves and amplifies the site’s original industrial character. The existing structural skeleton, exposed concrete, cement resin flooring and north-facing sheds have all been retained, reinforcing a sense of openness and continuity across the buildings.
